Hi all, I'm looking for some details on client-side routing with the use of JavaScript. Joe Hewitt does this exceptionally well with iphone.facebook.com. I'd love to learn more about how it works so maybe I can eventually re-write my application with it.
Right now my application simply loads from one pre-loaded DOM and has a bunch of hidden content panes. When those panes are requested, they are revealed and scrolled into view. It seems that routing with JavaScript via XHR to back-end code, the way Joe Hewitt does it, makes more sense and is semantically more proper. Does anyone have any URLs they can possible attach to this thread that would let me further read on using anchors/client-side routing through this method?
