Peter, thanks. I've seen the branch and tried it. But it is still from nov 2007 and it looks like there is no more development being done while there are people changing and patching the code for themselves. I think the cvs is readonly at the moment and I don't know who of the project is currently the admin.
There is no instructions on where to send patches or new developments.
