Thanks for the feedback.   The real issue lies in the fact that we can 
only generate the problem on the iPhone itself, every other browser 
shows normal expected behavior.

We migrated our system over to S3 recently, and it looks as if there is 
some timeout issue that is coming into play, but only on the iPhone.  
Other browsers will request an action from the user if the javascript 
takes too long to complete, while it seems (I could be wrong) that the 
iPhone just fails with an un-cited javascript error, which then cascades 
through the rest of the app.

If you (or anyone else) knows anything about the behavior we're seeing 
or our assumptions, please let me know.
