Not sure how many folks have tried both Dashcode that comes with the new iPhone SDK and iUI or WAn... I have used Dashcode... you can create a pretty slick app using Dashcode that look like the native apps (including left-to-right transitions, flip-backside-on-top, etc). The dashcode javascript libraries are not scrambled and it's not too hard to extend the javascript code if you find something missing in their functionality...
However, today, it only runs in the Simulator.... when you deploy it and try to run it on a real iPhone, you will find the smooth left-to- right transitions and many of the other whistle-bells (e.g. auto-hide of address-bar and navigation bar) are not working yet... you will need the 2.0 firmware for that. I am tempted to rewrite my webapp using WAn, so I can get the functionality working on a real iPhone and because I am not a big fan of having to use Dashcode for doing my development (e.g. there is no SVN support, etc in the tool)... I realize the Objective-C SDK is getting the most attention and Apple will put most of their efforts there, but what is the future of the iUI and WAn frameworks, assuming that Apple will continue to support web app development for the iPhone as a first-class-citizen and continue to add more integration support (e.g. javascript library for GPS, address-book, etc.)... ?
