I do not think the current release of WebKit will get into the iPhone.
The desktop Safari is already significantly ahead of the iPhone in
terms of WebKit implementation. I think it may simply be either
holding a few tricks to the last release or finding that the feature
support did not warrant certain trade offs. Not sure, though.
