If you want to develop a Native Application (Downloadable) for the iPhone, you must build the application on a Mac. My choice was a Mac Book Pro, using the iPhone SDK (which is Free) from Apple. If you want to develop a “Web Application” for the iPhone, then there are many web IDEs that you can choose from, one of which is Visual Studio.
