The iPhone scales CSS background images until the whole image fits the screen. Gross! How do I stop this?
Specific question: I am trying to put in a special, iPhone-only background image. I made a background image that is 980 pixels wide by 3000 pixels high, with the hopes that the bottom would only appear if you have a page with lots and lots of content. The content of my page is fixed-width, 950 pixels wide. What does the iPhone do? It shrinks the background image so that it is much narrower than the content, and the whole thing can fit on screen at once. Now the content spills over the sides of the background image. How can I fix the dimensions of the background image? Thanks. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group.
