Yeah, great find! This is huge. I was surprised it wasn't announced on Surfin Safari blog, but found this thread on the webkit developer list confirming the feature is in iPhone 2.1 and briefly outlining the parts of the spec that aren't implemented yet. As you might expect, it's also fairly untested.
