I submitted my app on Dec 2 and was rejected 5 weeks later. The rejection:
"We've reviewed your application and we have determined that this application contains minimal user functionality and will not be appropriate for the App Store." Either they did not test the application carefully, or they looked at the tiny binary and assumed it could not contain much functionality, because it definitely is not "minimal".
