Howdy,

I mostly agree with Sean's recent posting as a general guideline - its
mostly common sense.

My thoughts..

- Before posting, one should think if the intended posting is
actually of any benefit to the group as a whole. In doubt, don't post to the
group.

- People responding to job-offerings through the list really aren't
getting the idea of a mailing group to an extend that might be considered
anti-social. Why would I care if someone is willing to do the job. What
would we get from the information on where he/she is living and what his/her
phone number was?

- Why should we not be allowed to argue if a specific posting is
matching with the group's target audience. Doing so might actually prevent
the same "mistake" to be done by another party.

- In regard to the specific case of this "phonegap offering". I
would suspect that less than 0.1% of the group subscribers that don't have
the phonegap group subscribed as well actually work with that API whereas
more than 50% of the phonegap group subscribers actually work with it. That
was, by my understanding, spam par-excellence. In doubt, the judge (us?),
should however hold the evil-doer not guilty as he/she might not have known
that there was a dedicated phonegap group.

Cheers and a nice weekend for all of you.
