Yes non iui pages work great from within iphone. I"ll have to try Safari 4.0 at home.
I don't mind not using the javascript method (especially since I know that its an iPhone looking for a video and I can give them the right one), i'm just not sure what kind of embed code I should use. http:storyfanatic.com/iphone is the iui part of the site (clicking the first link at the top should have a video in the middle). The same link on an iphone: http://storyfanatic.com/articles/story-structure/writing-the-personal-triumph/ has the video in it (same javascript code).
