OK, so I figured out how to setCurrentView with my button and its handler in main.js (again this is being appended to a stock implementation of the RSS web app template in Dashcode).
So, now my task is to lay a second RSS feed in this new subview. As this particular template only makes one feedURL attibute available may I declare another one in attributes.js? Thanks for tolerating my ignorance. Feels good to have figured the setCurrentView bit out on my own (no matter how rudimentary that might seem).
