Creating screencast videos of in-progress or completed iPhone apps is an important process of the dev and marketing process. I thought members here would appreciate some of what Scraster Professional Screencasting has learned about iPhone app screencasting in recent months. A blog post written last week describes our iPhone app screencasting workflow and contains links to a number of helpful resources and tools. To summarize the article, we use ScreenFlow, the SDK Simulator, and atebits' SimFinger to create custom screencasts for our clients. With a number of hacks to enhance SimFinger's limited functionality and ScreenFlow 2's new (and buggy at the time of writing) "clip speed" feature, great looking videos can be achieved in a ScreenFlow without any need for more professional video editing.
