Try my second suggestion. Take one of the working sample apps and
change it line-by-line (or div-by-div) into your application. You
should be able to see what breaks it:

If you're not using the (Win/OSX) Safari debugger, you should probably
learn how. If you want more help on this list, posting a link to your
work-in-progress usually gets better help responses.
