<input type="text" autocapitalize="off"...

Also, you might want autocorrect="off" and autocomplete="off" (if
password).

Subject: Textbox - Turning off the initial auto-capital letter?

In Safari, when you initially focus on a <input type="text" /> the
keyboard appears and the shift key is already selected, meaning that
the first letter is a capital. This is great when collecting person
details such as name and address but for a username textbox - when the
username is case-sensitive - it's not so great.

Does anyone know how I can stop this happening?

Thanks in advance

Andrew
