Thanks for the heads-up, Alex.  Apple should allow the volume of an audio to
be adjusted by javascript such that volume "1" equals the user's chosen
volume in Sounds settings dialog; the volume could never be set to exceed
that level. 0.5 would be half of that volume, 0.1 a tenth of it, and so on.
 In that way, the script would be functioning within the parameters the user
has chosen.
