You can't use the acrobat ask mainly because iPad use an arm processor while 
the ask is for an intel processor.

Did you check the APIs available in the iOS sdk for managing PDF files ?

Otherwise your best bet is a PDF processing library available in source code 
form (c / c++x) that you can compile for the iPad.

...that reminds me, this is the web dev forum, better suited to discuss web
