This is a very specific need you have, which can't be done without some CSS
& JS code.
Main idea is to hide your input, put a link to another page where a JS code
update the hidden input value when an item is selected, then slides back.

Can be done in 10 to 15 lines of JS code, but it can't be without a few
knowledges in JS (not that much iUI, just javascript).
