Many BIOSes have an option for "re-direct console after POST" or something
similar to those words.
Thanks, Al. I think I've set the BIOS right. I'm able to see Linux's initial boot message, but the console doesn't redraw or scroll after the screen is full. The problem doesn't happen during POST, so I'm thinking maybe this is because I forgot to set something in Linux? On the other hand, I have a terminal server that supports SOL - when I attach it to the system, I can see all Linux boot messages fine. This would mean that I did configure Linux right. I'm puzzled.
