I figured out what would be a problem with my patch. Since in this case, ipmi_lanplus_recv_sol is not called, the keepalive call to input handler is not preceeded by a call to ack_sol_packet and check_sol_packet_for_new_data. I haven't yet, but adding those two calls I think would be safe for the keepalive function.
