Hi,

I don't know what's wrong with your bmc, but to set up your PEF, you
should try pef-config out of the FreeIPMI-Tools. To set your pef-table
with ipmitool, you would have to send raw-ipmi-commands :-(

With pef-config, you can "download" the whole pef-table in a
human-readable format. Then you edit the file (enter the sensor-id and
offset-mask for your watchdog-sensor and the event-action, blablub...) and
commit it to the bmc.

For the offset mask, you should take a look into the ipmi-specs.

Of course, you have to activate the ipmi-watchdog-daemon in your OS.

Regards,
Gregor
