Hmm.. that doesn't work for me.  dmidecode shows:

/usr/sbin/dmidecode | grep 38
Handle 0x0030, DMI type 38, 12 bytes.

but I have to use:

IPMI_SI_MODULE_OPTIONS="type=kcs ports=0xca8 regspacings=4"
