Heiko,

OK, I have an SE7501WV2 here that I resurrected, but I don't have
exactly an SE7501HG2.
The BMC supports IPMI 1.5. Mine works fine.
In your output in the original email I looked up, ipmitool doesn't seem
to be communicating with the BMC successfully at all.

When you updated BMC versions it started having problems, so it may be
the new BMC version, or it may be some software code path not handled,
or you may have more than one IPMI driver loaded. Or, if that BMC
really does have IPMI 0.9, that could be the issue, since some IPMI
command formats did change.

Try these things:
1) Check lsmod output to see if more than one IPMI driver was loaded.
2) Try running some different software with BMC 0.19 to get another
perspective.
Try "/etc/init.d/ipmi stop", then "ipmiutil health -x" (from
http://ipmiutil.sf.net).
This will either work, or will give some debug info about talking to
the BMC.
3) If you go back to BMC 0.17, does everything work again?

Andy

No answer?

My thoughts: Stick with a older stable version until active development
resumes and project leadership roles are assumed.
