Hi Harshad,

I think this is a terrific idea!  :-)   I propose that we address/submit
any outstanding patches and issues, compete a test cycle on a 1.8.10
candidate tarball, repeat as necessary, and then release a new,
long-awaited 1.8.10! :-)  It'll probably take a bit of time (couple of
months) until it's finished, but there's no time like the present to get
started.

I will go back through the patches/issues posted to ipmitool-devel since
(and just before) 1.8.9 was released that haven't yet been addressed or
submitted to cvs and post the list to ipmitool-devel within the next
couple of weeks for review, comments, and discussion.   Additionally,
there are probably several folks who have some patches they've been
meaning to write/post (I know I do :-} so this might be a good time to
get started on them. 

I'll have the list of outstanding patches and issues posted to
ipmitool-devel asap.
