When I run a command like "ipmitool sdr type fan", I see a column with fields in it like 10h, 11h, etc which don't show up in any other commands that I've tried. In fact, if I include -c they disappear.
However, on some systems I've actually seen them appear such as in the record: Mem Overtemp,20h,ok,34.1,Correctable ECC In fact, it appears that the data field has been replaced with 20h and the data moved from the 2nd field to the 4th. Is this something ipmitool is doing or is the vendor doing something funky? Can I assume if the second field ends in 'h' that the real data will be in the 4th? -mark ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Ipmitool-devel mailing list Ipmitool-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/ipmitool-devel
