Probably one has the root user and its password configured properly and
the other does not.

Subject: [Ipmitool-devel] 2 nodes, 1 works, 1 doesn't.
Hi,
I have 2 Centos nodes that I'm trying to get the below working on:
ipmitool -I lan -U root -H xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -a chassis power status
The problem being on one node this works and on another this doesn't.
The "ipmitool -I open lan print 1" command looks the same on both at the
exception of the IP Address. On the one it doesn't work, i get:
Activate Session command failed
Error: Unable to establish LAN session
Unable to get Chassis Power Status
Any ideas how i could troubleshoot this more? I feel like the 2 nodes
have been configured the same way at the exception that one node has
some pacemaker configuration done to it but I don't really want to erase
that unless i would know for sure that's the issue.
Sorry if i posted this question in somewhat the same format in the
pacemaker mailing-list. Thought afterwards I'd probably get more
relevant answers in this thread if it existed.
Thanks,
Charles
