Hello, That does not seems to be supported in current cvs version and probably not in any earlier.
Correct me if I am misreading the standard Table 28-14, Boot Option Parameters. That should map to the the chassis bootparam. And for redirected DVD in "boot flags" 5 parameter and "data 2" part would have to be flags[1] |= 32; in code. Not 20 like current non-redirected force_cdrom flags[1] |= 0x14; (chassis @820 +/-) And the comment for that new value @p.395 references the "boot initiator mailbox" 7 which does not seems have any code (_constants.h:#define IPMI_CHASSIS_BOOTPARAM_INIT_MBOX 7) That might be also because the standard states: "The data content is specified by the software vendor." That rises question: is it of any use to extend the bootparam with force boot of the redirected codes when there is no clear method of setting the initiator mailbox? ----- Original Message ----- From: "vivek hari" <jsblac...@gmail.com> To: ipmitool-devel@lists.sourceforge.net Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2013 12:50:32 PM Subject: [Ipmitool-devel] mounting iso image using ipmitool Hi, I like to perform the OS installation on a remote target by booting it from cdrom. I could see the options to set boot order using ipmitool. But i like to know how to mount the iso image on cdrom of a remote target machine using ipmitool ? Does ipmitool ( or ipmiutil ) supports mounting iso images ? If so, let me know where to find instructions for that.
