We would be very interested in these features, especially the direct serial interface drivers, which we need for older systems which do not support in-kernel openipmi drivers. What would be _really_ nice as well would be for PPS to include a way to do upgrades of the legacy firmware (ie the non-HPM.1 firmware upgrader) into ipmitool as well. We have to use the legacy firmware on some of our boards because they use the ATMega64 instead of the ATMega128.
