That's the kind of reasoning that got you playing in the junior league
and forced you to adopt your competitor's proprietary protocols. Have
you configured an HP ProCurve L3 switch recently? The CLI is a very
incomplete and pale attempt at copying IOS and it even incorporates some
Cisco proprietary protocols such as CDP (Cisco Discovery Protocol).

Your company completely missed the boat on routers and switches, please
enlighten us why you think you are right this time?
