Hello, Latest release of iprutils is shipping sos plugin, witch seems unnecessary as sos (upstream) already includes iprconfig plugin (https://github.com/sosreport/sos/commit/ad464fcc0882f8764e8bbb091a91eeeb4a804ff3, CC'ing author). So all linux distribution including sos(report) should ship it(if not I would consider it a bug/RFE). Also I have contacted sos maintainer in fedora(also upstream dev) bmr (https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packager/bmr/) for advice about packaging sos plugins and correct way is to make it part of upstream sos, i.e. no packaging/shipping of sos plugins outside sos.
As mentioned above sos should already contain iprconfig.py(iprutils.py equivalent) and any sos plugin should be included in sos upstream, so I propose dropping sos plugin code from iprutils code base. I will prepare patch with drop if my proposal is accepted and push eventually missing pieces in to the sos upstream(in upstream sos plugin, some information were/are not gathered I have already opened PR https://github.com/sosreport/sos/pull/575, hope I haven't missed anything).
