Ooo.  This sounds like the problem I had when I was running the original
release of the IMServer application.  I think the version was 1.01.  After
running for about three days, the thread count would lock at 20 and the
clients would not be able to connect any longer, let alone send messages.
The application would stop through the services applet, but it would take
about 5 minutes to do so.  I was running the IMServer application using the
NT authentication, rather than using application's user management.

 The solution?  Upgrade to the current version of 1.02.  After upgrading,
I've had no problems and the server runs forever.

Yes, they are.  It all works fine for days, then suddenly this error
occurs.  Thread count is in the 20's usually.
