Hi All,
We are running IM version 1.02 with NT authentication in a Windows NT 4 domain. When logging on with the client from multiple locations the logon time can take as long as 2 minutes and then another 2 minutes to verify online users. I can only hope that this is not the norm since logging on to an outside IM provider such as MSN messenger or AIM takes only seconds. I have even installed a new BDC on a brand new server with 2, 1 ghz processors and a gig of RAM for the IM server to authenticate with and have not seen any speed increases. Communication from all clients to the IM server is 100 meg full up to 1 gig full. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
