You get a probe that runs the stock SamKnows firmware.
Our tests are then rolled out on top as a software update.

We will not update your existing probe since your existing probe was
initially given out for a different purpose and maybe running a
different set of tests that may or may not interfere with our test setup.

Expect the same requirements [a] as you’d from a typical SamKnows box.
This research is in collaboration with SamKnows, so our tests are also
tested by the SamKnows team before rollout. We make an effort to check
with the probe hosts for permission before deploying a new test so the
probe host is always kept in loop.
