Dear IPv6 WG members,
some of you might already have read this, but I would like to bring it to the
attention of our working group:
Last week the Czech government approved a resolution, that they will stop
providing government services over IPv4 starting on 2032-06-06 [1].
This is point number 14, translated in english with the help of a translator
as I don't speak czech ;-)
--------------------CUT--------------------
14. Restarting the introduction of DNSSEC technology and the IPv6 protocol in
the state administration,
no. 25/24
Submitted by: Minister of Industry and Trade
Result of the government meeting: approved .
--------------------CUT--------------------
There is also some more information in blog articles of nic.cz [2] [3].
The end of IPv4 is near [4] (tm). A link to the details of the resolution (in
czech) is also on that page.
I hope that this announcement of the Czech government will speed up the IPv6
adoption. Ok, it's still 8 years until 2032, but there are also a lot of
companies out there who did not even think about implementing IPv6 yet.
What is your opinion about this?
