It also now occurs to me that since RFC 3972 has IPR disclosures from both

Per the Note Well, I'm at least sending this email, but will check with
Microsoft folks to see whether an IPR statement would be needed on
this draft (personally I have no clue).

I'd suggest that any Ericsson folks paying attention might need to do the same.

draft-ietf-6man-stable-privacy-addresses-00 was submitted as a working group document in May 2012. There was a Last Call in April 2013. The Acknowledgement Section clearly says that the algorithm specified in the draft has been inspired by RFC 1948. There isn't any IPR disclosure filed against RFC 1948.

Does draft-ietf-6man-stable-privacy-addresses have to wait for IPR disclosures, if any, to be filed before it is moved forward?

Could someone provide a summary of the issues for draft-ietf-6man-stable-privacy-addresses-08?

Thanks,
