I took the liberty of report this bug in Ubuntu as I was impacted by it as well: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ipxe/+bug/1045923 Quantal development has now passed Feature Freeze so I will need to get an exception from the release team in order to upload a new git snapshot of ipxe to the archive (I have confirmed that a current snapshot does infact resolve this issue). Michael: any guidance you can provide on a suitable commit to snapshot for release would be helpful; even better would be a specific commit which you think resolves this issue as I can apply this as a patch and avoid the whole freeze exception process.
