Hi list, Im brooding about following problem:
If a client is asking for an IP-address in pxe-mode, it is possible, that there is no dns-name ready for him (first start i.e.). My idea is generating an dynamic ipxe-script which asks for a name, if no dns-information is available. After this i could create a new request with giving the entered name to the server. Is it possible to offer an input-field in menu for entering this? The "read"-command comes imho at the bottom of the screen and leaves the menu. But the "config"-command brings a much more good looking possibility for entering text. Is this mechanism usable for own issues? Tfh!
