Well hey, that might explain the blank drive then.... Important tip, I'll give that a shot :) One of the things that drives me nuts about unix, you'd think that dd would kick back and say you can't do that, specify a device not a partition, rather than acting like it was successful.

I'm still powerful curious why iPXE can't seem to start downloading the PXE image from the server when using the CD, no idea if that will change with USB if I get that working.
