I have been building ipxe roms for pci passthrough interfaces in kvm. Recently these roms stopped being able to boot via iscsi. If I try to use (for example):
san-boot iscsi:192.168.0.1::::iqn.2016-01.com.example:disk it gives me the following error: http://ipxe.org/err/2e8520 I ran git-bisect to find the offending commit and the following commit is where it starts failing: https://github.com/ipxe/ipxe/commit/196f0f2551a4f82d2968c6e3a50aaa54a45ec779 Anything prior to that iscsi boots without error.
