A lot of companies recognize this frustration and are leveraging it by providing instant, in-store rebates. Of course, that's basically the same as a price cut, but at least you get the savings on the spot and don't have to jump through hoops.

I am sure I have (so far) never lost one. I don't do it all the time, but I have on blank CDs & DVD's, the computer printers, etc and I have gotten them all. But I am not fond of them. They take time and you have to go through pages on the sites to get it done sometimes. Give me a coupon I can take up to the checkstand and that is better.
