I, on the other hand, found conditions quite good, although I only listened
between 14:48 and 15:25. Right now at 16:33, I'm still hearing weak audio on
747 and 972 and a few more weaker carriers. The JJ big guns were the strongest
I've
heard them for some time, with JOUB 774 a virtual 10, but only very briefly
right at 15:00. I'm sure I would have heard it on a crystal rig. Funny thing
was that within a minute or so, it really went down hill to a 6, before
recovering to a more
sedate 7 to 8. Mostly heard JJ, with some KK and CC stations too. No audio
today on 1475, but both 1566 and 1575 were strong. 279 was pretty good as well
at a 7. A total of 16 audios plus 279 with a number of not so common channels
yielding audio as follows: 585 (JOPG), 594 (JOAK), 612 (briefly at 14:50, 4QR
I think), 621 (?N. Korea), 702, 738, 747 (JOIB very strong), 774 (a virtual 10
for a minute at 15:00), 828 (JOBB very strong, but also very variable), 936
(?Anhui),
1044, 1242 (JOLF plus one other at 15:13 with an 8), 1287, 1305, 1422 (prob
JORF), 1566, 1575 (stronger than HLAZ at 15:22 with an 8), 1593 (NHK2 station,
I think). Not bad at all with good indices of A3 and K0......Walt.
