Kelowna, British Columbia Application No. 2006-1105-5 Application by Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Limited Partnership to convert radio station CKOV Kelowna from the AM band to the FM band. The new station would operate on frequency 103.1 MHz (channel 276B) with an average effective radiated power of 11,000 watts (maximum effective radiated power of 35,000 watts/antenna height of 114.3 metres). The applicant proposes a Soft Vocals music format complemented by a continuation of CKOV’s traditional style of news and information programming. The applicant is requesting permission to simulcast the programming of the new FM station on CKOV for a period of 3 months from the date of implementation of the new station.
