Bill, Yes KABL moved to Salinas several years ago and the local (Oakland) outlet on 960 became KQKE (The Quake) and has a progressive talk format.
Breakdown on 1460 in Salinas (as I have it logged) KDON 11/15/57----was off the air for about 10-15 years until: KTXX 9/ 9/00 KION 8/24/02 KABL 10/31/04 and now apparently back to KION altho I've not seen anything official on the call change as yet.
