Many that won't run are written in Turbo Pascal. It is a timing issue on program start where it initializes a variable. The program won't wait for that to happen, and you see a "Divide by zero" error. There is a patch, but it only works on machines that are under maybe 600MHz or so. If anyone has such a program and wants to try that patch, contact me off list. IIRC, the patch name is TPPATCH.EXE or very similar. I have a 1989 DOS game of Risk that runs fine, mouse and all on a W2K 3.2GHz Intel machine. It's a program that was sold by Radio Shack back then.
