Now that Yahoo Mail is done being its evening techno-SOB, I can reply to this 
thread.  I have a 19-inch Sony LCD monitor.  Within six feet of my boatanchor, 
it generates a motorboat-type interference.  The good part is that if I turn 
the monitor 90 degrees, the interference is gone completely.  I don't know how 
far away I have to the two separated in order to escape the noise.
