Hi Patrick and all, in Oakland, with my super radio 3, I can hear k o a, but it helps if the reception is good on a given night, and here in Oakland, there's no splatter from even 840 or 880 where kkmc is. Ktrb does fade at night here, but the fading is not a complete fade, it's as if the volume of a particular song is slightly raised, and lowered, so they must have made some more adjustments with their pattern. I wonder if they change pattern in the day time, because I can hear no decrease in volume here, and wonder if that livermore transmitter site is just using what will be the night pattern for ktrb all the time. Bill, I would believe the caller heard KOA on the internet. Yes, KTRB is supposed to be 50 KW directional at SF. If the guy was a DXer with a good receiver, phaser, loop, etc he might hear KOA, but probably on the internet I would guess.
