Did Ernie use the Hammarlund HQ 129 receiver? What type of antenna did he use?

When I visited his DX Den in 1956 at his home in Brooklyn, he was using one of
the older Hammarlund receivers. I can't absolutely testify that it was the 129
... My first Hammarlund, which I bought in 1958, was an HQ 160, which was the
predecessor of the HQ 180, neither of which were on the market in 1956. The HQ
145, which Larry Godwin used in 1958 when he joined NRC from Amarillo, was a
smaller unit than the 129 or the 160/180 line.
