May I disagree with you and Pat? The fact remains that there are people in the world who are not convinced until they actually see or hear something. Since IBOC has not been tried at night except for a few rare instances and at sunset and sunrise, we have not seen exactly what will happen when all stations light up with IBOC at night. I am sure that when that happens, some people will then realize the monster that has been created. I agree to the extent that there will be problems, because as a DXer, like you and Pat, we all have a feel for the band.
