If the GM recognized the "gal's" voice on the CD you sent, that sounds like a definite to me. What's there to check? Or was the GM not sure it was even their announcer? I had a case like that in 1971 when I QSL'd Tarawa on 846 (from LI NY) and the v/s said he recognized the voice of the anncr on my tape as being that of a woman from Funafuti in the Ellice (today Tuvalu) so he was able to do a positive match.
