No, Art.  279 that we hear on the west coast is not coming from Ulan Ude.  It's 
the most reliable and much closer....try Yuzhno Sakhalinsk on Sakhalin 
Island(s) south-west of Kamchatka and north of the Kuriles.  There's a 
great image on Google Earth of the airport at E 142 deg 43 min and N 46 deg 53 
min.  Don't think the transmitter is there.  More likely closer to the water, 
but the resolution is poor to the east.........Walt
